15 minutes into a trainer workout, "trainer off" flashed.
did a reset. started again. same stupid thing happens.
changed battery in iBike. same stupid thing happens
changed battery in mount. same stupid thing happens.
I've used this thing on the trainer a ton -- used it this morning, it worked fine.
tonight, I get bubkiss.
what's the cause of the problem?

If you are using a fan to keep cool the ibike may be picking the wind up and turning the trainer mode off or possibly the mount or the mount battery is bad. I had a similar issue and it ended up being a bad mount which velocomp replaced under warranty and was very quick with the shipment. Hope this helps.

I changed the mount battery
I was using a fan, and the problem started when I turned the fan up, but I've used the same fan before and not had this issue.
this was a trainer ride this AM, and it was fine and dandy....

The trainer mode kicks off at 8 mph wind speed if I'm not mistaken so ny best guess is that it's picking it up. It would be worth trying a trainer ride with the fan at different speeds to see if that's your issue. If not I'm sure John H. or Aaron T. would help you get the issue resolved. I'm sure you know or have read that their customer service is top notch!!

I'll try moving the trainer back a few feet from the fan -- it was closer tonight than its been, now that I think about it.
I'm a hot head/head case.
Their customer service has been super so far.

If you simply put a piece of tape over the wind sensor port you can have the fan as close as you want and the iBike will still sense a zero mph wind. Just remember to take the tape off when you move back outdoors, or you will get bubkiss out there.

was on the back porch tonight
fan on from the start -- trainer mode cuts off after 30min
checked cal wind in setup -- it was way off.
did another wind cal, it worked fine for another 25 min, enough to finish the 2nd of a 2x20
can the wind offset drift when the temp drops be fixed in the new firmware?
