Anyone from VeloComp out there?

Post by rstrom »

I'm relatively new to the forum and I don't know exactly what to expect here so please don't take this the wrong way.

I believe that I have two posts (one with zero replies) that I'd like to see some response from VeloComp on - an Auto Wind question and a review of another file that I uploaded after performing a new calibration ride (I believe that the subject is Downhill Power). I've tried to be really patient (not one of my better traits), really I have :)

So far I really like most aspects of the unit but it does appear to be pretty finicky getting a good calibration ride and I want to get a good understanding of how I KNOW when I have one.

If you could please take a look at mine (and anyone elses) unanswered questions I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks,

Robert

Sorry about that. I'll take a look at it right away. It's been pretty busy with some of the stuff we have going on and with John having to go take care of the Pro Tour team. Every once in a while a post can slip through the cracks with us reading it and thinking we'll give a reply a bit later.

I had read about at least one person being over in Europe with the team (is it the Fuji team?) and thought that this could be a contributing factor.

Thanks for taking a look at the Auto Wind post.

Could you please also take a look at my "Downhill power measurements" post.

I'm trying to get a good calibration ride and learn more about how I know if it's a good one. I have been using the modified profile that I was sent and I think that the new calibration ride that I posted is closer, but I'm not sure that it is a good one.

Any feedback about the calibration ride and how I (and others can tell if it's a good one) would be greatly appreciated (because for all I knew the first one I had was good until I saw the downhill power numbers so high).

Thanks again,

Robert

Robert: please check your spam folder. I recall creating a new profile for you while I was in Spain.

You are correct, you did.

I replied to your reply and posted a new calibration ride asking that someone take a look at it to see if it looked valid.

I am currently using your profile and think that it is probably the most correct but that frustrates me to think that I am not able to get a good calibration ride and I would like to know why and what I can do to know that I've got one and to ensure that I am able to get one.

If you could please take a look at that thread a few posts down I would appreciate it.

TIA,

Robert
