Aero Does not keep proper time

Post by apxenop »

I recently purchasesd an ibike Aero and it does not keep proper time. After setting up the proper time through the setup screeens I noticed the following morning that it did not match the actual time but was way ahead. This situation is chronic.

I am forced to update the time every morning using the Ibike mac software because to following morning the clock is 7 to 10 minutes ahead.

Has anyone enountered this problem previously? How can it be fixed?

This has made me loose confidence in the ibikes data because if it can't keep time properly how can it calculate power appropriately. :o

As with many strange issues - one thing to try is a hard reset of the unit.

Insert the battery flipped over and hold it there for 10 seconds. Then you can put the battery back in the correct +/- orientation. You will need to use the software or by hand - set the correct time. See if this helps.

This is a problem we have never heard of before!

This problem won't affect your iBike readings but it would truly be annoying to deal with...

Please try the hard reset fix. If that doesn't work please email us for next steps.
