New TT mount options

Post by jkase001 »

Could the new TT mount be used on road bars in a setup similar to the Garmin Barfly to extend the unit past the front of the bars? It does not look like you could rotate the mount as needed based on the pics but it is hard to tell. My handlebars get pretty busy: Garmin 810, light, and Newton and I want to clear / rearrange some space if I can. This would be a big help. I would not want to use my Barfly for the Garmin and compromise what the Newton 'sees' with regard to wind. Or would it work? Does anyone have any other suggestions? For the stem only mount, is the mount angled in such a way that the unit would be level when mounted or would it be at 90 degress to the steerer tube angle? Finally, could you use the RWS in such a way as to allow the use of the bar mounted Newton and the Barfly? Sorry for all the questions but I hope you understand what I am trying to get at.
