I have a Gen III iAero that I upgraded from a Gen II iAero in November. The speed sensor has always worked on both units. Yesterday, while out on a ride the unit stopped measuring speed about 3 miles from the end of the ride.
I have checked the battery voltages in all the units and they were all in excess of 290, temps were in the 60s. The cadence sensor worked fine. Today I tried and the iAero shows speed fail. I have tried pairing up the speed sensor again, and it will not pair up. Used a new battery. I do here the clicking sound when I pass a magnet past the unit, but it is much more subdued than on the cadence sensor.
Any suggestions? Has the speed sensor failed?
Speed not working
Re: Speed not working
Try switching sensors; that is, move the blue switch on your working cadence sensor to SPD, and the blue switch on your non-working speed sensor to CAD. Then, see if pairing works.
If your speed sensor is bad then it won't work as a cadence sensor either. Your cadence sensor should, however, pair-up as a speed sensor.
