A new noise

Post by chrus101 »

Hello all,

Had a small problem downloading my rides list today. Tried all the usual things: rebooting iB4 software, rehousing iAero onto usb mount, rebooting computer, no joy. After removing iAero battery and reinserting it eventually downloaded todays ride. When I disconnected the iAero from the USB mount I noticed a clicking noise which I hadn't previously heard. I tried to track down where it was coming from. It turns out that if i push on the iAero contacts at the bottom of the unit I can reproduce this noise. Has anyone else noticed this. New noises concern me a bit. :?

Cheers, Chris

My spring loaded contacts push in and snap back without any resistance. You might have a speck of dirt on one of them. Perhaps the slightest bit of WD40 on a Q-tip would help lubricate any pins that are sticking.

If one of the pins sticks "in" and loses contact during a ride you're liable to lose some ride data so make sure they all move in and out without any sticking.
