Climbing/Elevation Gain
Climbing/Elevation Gain
Just noticed that my iBike Software reported 2200 ft. of climbing (for a ride I did today) and Training Peaks reported 2484 ft. (for the same ride). Any reason for the disparity/difference? Thanks Rob

This has been covered in the thread above by Travis. Basically every device or software defines "climbing" slighty differently as to what itdoes and doesn't count.

Yes, there is a reason for the disparity. The iBike does a better job at reporting climbing than Training Peaks IMO.mullerrj wrote:Just noticed that my iBike Software reported 2200 ft. of climbing (for a ride I did today) and Training Peaks reported 2484 ft. Thanks guys. My bad, should've done a search on the subject first. Good to know that iBike does a better job than Training Peaks. Rob
