4-mile ride

Post by kaplanmaxe »

I just got a new pair of wheels. I know I have to do a new coast down, but do I have to do a 4-mile ride again?

Nope, you will be able to use the wind scaling and the riding tilt from your previous profile. Just download it as a coastdown only profile and then edit in the wind scaling and riding tilt that you have in your current profile.

Thanks, Boyd. Does this file look okay? I am 5'4" 103 pounds. I'm only 16 so thats why I am so light. I raced yesterday, so it was a recovery ride with a few accelerations. They seemed a little low. I have hit 904 on my "other" power meter. What is even weirder is that on the iBike it said my max watts was 793, but on the computer it said my max watts was 783.

That data looks great!

When you compare max wattages the iBike will tend to read a bit lower. This is due to the slight filtering that the iBike has, it doesn't update quite as quick as "other" power meters. For instance when you look at the power meter comparison and take off the filtering you can easily see this.

But for training and racing, this has barely any affect, in fact I find it much easier to hold a steady wattage with the slight filtering when I'm doing sustained intervals.
