AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

I'm going to redo my calibrations with the new V4 firmware tonight. There is a slight breeze today, but it's a pretty good day. With the new 2 mile cal ride, I have a few more roads to choose from now, so:

1. For maximum accuracy should the out and back cal ride be done into/against the wind or perpendicular to it?
2. I'm going to use Estimated CRR but do coast downs, since a fair amount of riding is slightly above or around 32kph. Again, should coasts downs ideally be done into the wind, perpendicular or does it not matter?

Ideally, the cal ride should be done parallel to the wind and the coastdowns should be done into the wind. For these two setup rides try to avoid cross winds. The iBike will automatically take care of crosswinds once the calibrations and setup are completed.

Thanks racerfern. I've always assumed that was the case and my results have always been pretty good (except for CRR which I've never managed to get near the .0055)

Interestingly enough, with the new FW400 if I let the iBike calculate CdA and Crr I keep getting a high Crr in the .0067-.0071 area. Subsequently the CdA is lower than I would expect. However, the power data from using that profile are really on the money.

So I'm beginning to think that there may be an issue with some kind of bearing or freewheel hub drag . The iBike may be telling me something and I need to listen.
