I drove off after a ride with the iBike Aero on the bumper of my truck today.
Anxiety, stress, information with-drawls, and feeling just smart enough to know your stupid is quite the cocktail......

I think I did you one better a month ago.
I left my helmet, gloves and iBike (in the helmet) on my trunk. Drove all the way to the park where I ride. By the time I got back to the apartment, the helmet was in the median and had obviously been pinned under a car for some distance - top was scraped flat. The iBike was in at leas three pieces and crushed beyond recognition. That was a very expensive blunder.
Tom
PS - I did buy another iBike Pro right afterwards as well as a new helmet.

yeah it put me in a corner. I have a powertap elite+ with an open pro that I rarely use because, what's the point of the extra weight when the aero tracks that thing through out the whole ride? why have two forms of the same data for the same ride. But it looks like I'm going to have to get a Garmin 500 and use that tank of a wheel. I'm most worried about the race season. I loved the iBike because you can see power without the weight of a powertap+open pro especially after that firmware update that let the ibike know when you were in a pack. Back to HR for races.
Worst thing of all, I had a breakthrough ride today where I dropped my two riding partners(both stronger than I) on a 5 mile 6% climb today. I also beat my best time ever up that climb by 2 minutes today.

John, isn't that covered by warranty?

You Joke, but I can't explain the care I just received from john...I admit I'm the biggest idiot to ride a bike this side of the Mississippi after what I did yesterday but John just lifted a huge burden off me. Hey John seriously, thanks.

Saved from the biggest dumb move ever....ever... Two summers ago after a group ride, I got in my minivan to go home. I had forgotten to actually load my bike into the van and was about to back up (running it over). Fortunately, a friend yelled at me to stop -- before any damage was done. Felt silly. Turned red. No fun. Ridicule. Still, no damage. Sorry to hear you weren't so lucky (which is how I felt), heith.

No, but you may find Bike insurance that does. I lost a Polar CS600 head unit (with power) which was covered by my insurance. After selling the Power Unit and Sensors, plus the check from the Insurance Company I bought my iBike Pro. Haven't looked back
