iBike protector

I've successfully installed the iBike on my Full Suspension XC MTB, using a stem mount, and am getting consistent readings. However, flipping the bike over, w/ seat & bars touching the ground, I noticed that, well, it's the iBike, & not the bars that touch the ground
And now, of course, I'm a bit worried. I don't go into super gnarly descents, preferring MTB Marathon races. But every now & then I have a fall of some sort, & I would hate to ruin my precious iBike. So here's my question: has anyone attempted making an iBike protector? I'm thinking of getting a sort of hoop welded, that can be attached to the handlebars, and is tightened on w/ a couple of screws. Maybe John has already got something in the pipeline? Maybe out of CARBON FIBER
!! Has anyone else attempted something along this line?
