AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

My speedometer konked out. Before it did, it was reading erratically. Sometimes it would read then go blank. I tried putting the sensor closer to the magnet and tried using different magnets. Now it wont work at all. What can I do? I have a wired unit with cadence.

The most common issue with wired is where the wires enter the head unit. Make sure it isn't too tight. Pull the wire up toward the unit and try pushing the wire back into the unit slightly. If that works secure it so it doesn't pull out.

The same thing can happen at the pickup end but that isn't as common.

Thanks Fernando. I just tried my other ibike mount in my other bike and its ok. Sooo I guess its the wired cadence mount that failed. I cant figure how it could fail because there appears to be no tugging in the wires .

I had the same issue with one of my wired mounts. Never knew what did happen to it. It is still laying around in a box and I may one day try to fix it.
I have since traded for wireless and I will not look back to wired(at least not as long as I am the only Ibike rider in the area
