CdA setting on the iBike

Post by whftherb »

iBike Pro -- I've looked through the User Manual/Software Guide and can't find any reference to this.

In the Set Up screens, you come across a setting labelled "CdA" and on mine it's set to Off. I am unable to set it On no matter what buttons I press. Seems like a relatively important setting but again, there's no mention of it that I can find, in the manuals.

What's this setting for and under what circumstances is it used? I think it may have something to do with Trainer Mode but can't be sure.

Thanks folks.

The iBike and iBike Pro cannot do spot or live CdA so you cannot set that to On unless you have an iAero.

OK, thanks. Wish there was a ref to that in the book...

So any idea why cda setting appears on the iBike Pro? Is there something coming in a future firmware update that will allow us to use it with an iBike Pro? Seems odd for it to appear in the set-up if it is an unuseable function.

It is a mistake on our part. To keep things efficient we try to share code in our firmware. The 118 code should NOT have CdA screens in it.
