iBike for cyclocross?

Anyone try their iBike on a cyclocross bike? I'm thinking about it and wonder if it is worth the trouble. The places that I ride have some fairly smooth climbs, but a lot of bumpy traverses. I put a wireless mount on my road bike and tried to use the old wired mount on my mountain bike, but the pick-up is very spotty. I don't know if there is a problem with the wired mount or what, but it works occasionally but usually doesn't. When I was messing around with it a while back, I got did a coast-down and out-and-back, so I have a profile. Since then, when going for a mtb ride, I've gone into set-up mode and changed to Profile 2 and turned wireless off, but it rarely works. I quit trying, basically. Since the wired mount wasn't working for me, I was thinking about getting a second wireless kit for the cyclocross bike, but it is kind of a lot to spend if the numbers won't be accurate. Between varying rolling resistance and all the bumps, I'm not sure how valid the results would be. Thoughts welcome.

Since the cyclocross bike has a "stiff" frame, there is no reason the iBike can't work very well. One of our other customers has used the iBike on a cyclocross bike with great success. He has had no problems at all and gets good data.

It sounds like you may have a problem with the wired mount. There is no reason you should get intermittent readings.

I understand that a 'cross bike meets the baseliine requirement of having a rigid frame (as opposed to a mtb with a squishy fork which would throw the Tilt off all the time), but I was wondering about how useful the data from a 'cross bike would be -- all the bumping and jarring may throw the results way off and the varying rolling resistance (rock, hardpack, softpack, mud) might make it less useful as well. It would be great to hear from someone who has used an iBike on a 'cross bike for at least a few rides and can address those issues from experience. Obviously my mileage will vary, but I'd like to hear stories from the "front line" as it were. Especially if in time to take advantage of the Sweetheart Deal! Thanks.
