Calibrating Gen III

Post by benlane »

Someone remind me please.

I have three bikes, one wireless mount, If I establish a profile for each bike including a calibration 4 mile out and back for each bike in it's standard set up, do i only need to do new coastdowns if I chage the wheels, will the 4 mile calculations remain valid.

Similarly - if I take the mount off bike one and put it onto bike two, then once the tilt calc is dialled in, I don't need to redo a 4 mile out an d back so long as the correct profile form the initial calibration for that bike is in the unit?

Correct. The 4 mile cal ride is for wind and tilt calibration.

If you move the mount from one bike to the next, you need to enter the "TILT" setup screen and re-do your tilt calibration. The first five minutes of the ride will get the unit settled in and you'll be fine from there. Everything else will be in the profile.

If you move the mount from bike to bike to do the calibrations you get the profiles for the 3 bikes, but here is my question you then move the mount back to one of the bikes what is the chances that the mount is in exactly the same spot? won't this affect riding tilt and wind offset?

Chris
I undertand it that re-doing the tilt takes care of that and the stored profile takes care of the windscale and riding tilt
