Speed Information Question

Sorry if this is a STUPID question, God knows I've asked a bunch on here so I apologize in advance, but when looking at my iBike data in Xcel: does the difference between the Speed (mph) column and Wind Speed (mph) column tell me whether the wind is in my face vs. at my back? e.g. If the Speed (mph) says 29 mph and the Windspeed (mph) says 17 mph, does that mean I had a 12 mph tailwind? And, vice versa, if the Speed (mph) says 13 mph and the Windspeed (mph) says 29 mph, does that mean I was riding into a 16 mph headwind? BTW, it was REALLY windy when I was on this particular ride. Thanks Rob

That is exactly correct. The headwind will have the corresponding area on the speed chart with the Blue above the white line that indicates graph speed. The tail wind will have the blue below the white speed graph line.
