This is a very interesting article that was sent to us by an iBike customer.

We had always believed that the iBike would be great in a tandem bike. This article describes in detail how the iBike and, cleverly, the Garmin 705 too, can be used on a tandem bike to help improve the cycling performance and teamwork of BOTH riders.

Enjoy!

I always wondered what the combined power numbers would look like for a tandem - now I know.
It looks like the heart rate numbers provided in the article were the sum of both riders too :)

The heart rate numbers are individual, the one displayed is the captain, the stoker's HR would be in the Garmin unit. The power, cadence, NP, TSS, IF and VI are combined based on the FTP of the two riders on the tandem. ;)

There is a note in the article that there was a problem with the HR strap.
