When scrolling through the "total" button, these two sets of information came accross the screen:
1. CSt REro / 0_595
2. CSt Fric / 6_808
What do these numbers mean and do I need to pay attention to them?
Thanks
Nathan
What do these numbers mean?
Re: What do these numbers mean?
It's in the iBike instructions: these are the aero drag number (0.59) and frictional drag number (6.808).
These numbers are determined by your coast downs, cal ride, and iBike 3 software. They are an important part of your profile.
These numbers are related to but NOT the same as CdA and Crr. If you have done a cal ride then you'll find the corresponding CdA and Crr numbers in your iBike 3 software.
If you can change your ride position so that CdA goes down (while keeping your power level constant) and change your equipment so that CdA and Crr go down, for a given level of power output you will go faster because you have reduced your aerodynamic and frictional drag. That is the importance of these numbers.
