I've had an iSport for almost a month now, and have really enjoyed seeing my power numbers on my rides. I'm not happy with how low the numbers are, but that's all my fault.
After about two weeks, I ordered a second mount. I got the unit installed, set up my second profile, and was hoping to see some low cdA and crr numbers on my "better" bike. The cdA looked good, but the friction number on my coast downs was a lot higher than on my other bike. Both bikes are set to put me in the same position, and have the same wheels. I was pretty confused until...
While cleaning my "better" bike, I spun the front wheel while holding the axle by hand. And felt the gritty bearing. I removed the cartridge bearings. One turned smoothly, the other felt like roller skating in a gravel pit.
A new pair of bearings later, and my friction numbers for both bikes are nearly identical.
Just...WOW. That kind of sensitivity and accuracy in a $200.00 power meter is just...WOW.
Just...WOW
