AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

The screen of my Newton+ is especially prone to blemishes. I do not know what is causing it. I do handle it carefully, have owned and used multiple iBikes starting with Gen I and iAeros for more than 5 years. Maybe it is caused by sweat or by sunscreen. I do have old iBikes that do not show this kind of damage at all. The screens on the old iBikes have shiny finishes whereas this new screen has a dull lusterless finish. It seems like a different type of plastic was used or a different surface treatment.
Do you have suggestions for treating this? I've tried cleaning it with a damp cloth but that changes nothing.

Make sure you have removed the protective cover that is on the LCD screen. It is a very thin, matte-finish cover.
