Garmin FR70 HRM strap compatability

Hi - I am about to order a unit and am not sure whether I need to get a HRM to go with it. Can you please advise if the garmin FR70 HRM strap is compatable with the ibike newton.

My 99%+ prediction is that this Garmin strap is ANT+ compatible. Why do I predict this? Because Garmin owns ANT+...
If the strap is ANT+ compatible, it will work with the Newton.
I'm sure Garmin's site will confirm the ANT+ compatibility.
