Hi,
Something strange started to happen to my otherwise reliable PPV4. It started a week ago when I had trouble connecting it, in the process I had to remove the ANT+ connection from my Garmin 550 and since that, no matter what I do, I can only connect the pod through BT. Tried finding the pod on my Garmin watch, but again, only can find the BT.
Secondly, today in my 50k run which consisted of going out and back in two places, I could see on my device screen that the wind was always from the back! Home I downloaded the ride and yes, the wind is always from the back which is strange (I have attached the ride). Also in some occasions the power went very low like it was trying to calibrate for 10 sec then restoring to normal numbers.
Could you check the ride, maybe there is a setting wrong on my device.
Thanks,
Meste

Re: PPV4 always wind in the back!
I see that Speedyg had a similar issue which was sorted out by you.
Re: PPV4 always wind in the back!
Your wind scaling factor is wrong.
Corrected profile and ride file are attached.

Re: PPV4 always wind in the back!
Thanks John, I will use this profile.
I am a little curious of why such thing happened... Let me explain: for the same bike and unit I got a profile corrected from you some time ago and the wind correction on that one is 1.212, compared to what you corrected yesterday which is 2.963 I find it quite very big difference. I wonder what could have caused such a change?
Fric is another huge difference between the old (11.158) and new profile (-69.790). Could this be from mounting the pod on different angles?
I do not claim I understand some of this numbers implications, but I willing to learn more, maybe in order to adjust in the future and adjust the parameters by myself.
I did a nice OAB calibration this morning, after which the ride (w/o your corrected profile) was better than the yesterday one but still on going behind wind - I have attached it - maybe you can teach me how to correct / adjust it myself - many thanks Thanks.

Re: PPV4 always wind in the back!
UPS! Trying to upload your corrected profile to my unit I got an error Fric and riding tilt out of range! So cannot use it.
Re: PPV4 always wind in the back!
This message means your unit has been moved and is significantly out of calibration.
Please do a new cal ride, then post a ride file afterwards.

Your ride file looks really good, but I tweaked your profile a bit!
Please load this into your unit.
