Ride Not Recorded
Ride Not Recorded
Hello,
It has been a few months since my last ride. I charged the PowerPod and went for a ride. I was getting a Power reading on my Garmin.
I then connected my laptop to the PowerPod to download the ride data. The ride wasn't recorded.
I assume it is best to reset the device and do a new cal ride?

Re: Ride Not Recorded
So I did a new cal ride. The cal ride didn't save but the from the end of the cal ride back to the car did save as a ride. This was on a V3.
After that, I tested a friend's V5. He had been having issues with the calibration ride not saving and the ride restarting. Well the same happened for me as on the V3 the calibration ride seemed to go well but didn't save but the ride back to the car was saved as a file.

Re: Ride Not Recorded
I can see similar issues on both the V3 and V5 that I did today.

This is the V3 ride

Re: Ride Not Recorded
Last night I set up both versions the V3 and V5 to "best" accuracy, which talks about the O&B ride.
I checked the values and updated the Aero & Wind Scaling from a ride confirmed as good.
Here are the 2 profiles I am a bit worried that the Wireless ID are different, as the 3 devices are the same - Speed, Cadence and HR.
I will go and do another couple of calibration rides. So I can give feedback for when the support opens.

Re: Ride Not Recorded
so a re sync with sensors now they have the same IDs.
Again in the cal ride didn't give me time to stop and turn around at 50%. No Calibration ride saved.
Here is the ride file that started at the end of the cal ride.
Does it look Ok?

Re: Ride Not Recorded
Have you set you PP with calibration "Best" or "Better"?
I believe "Better" just lets you ride and there is no indicator count up/down.

Re: Ride Not Recorded
I am using best. So after a couple of hours.
V3: O&B ride worked and Power values looked OK. Again no CalRide file on device. Fireware 9.02
V5: After the first CalRide. The power values didn't look right. So I went for a ride the values were completely wrong. 4 watt going up a slope. And 300 on the flat.
So by triggering the sensor search have tried a new CalRide. I have triggered it multiple times. Each time when it gets to 100, it start counting up again from 1. On the last time I tried I could see it went to 100. For a few seconds it gave ok power values, but then it started from 1 again.
This is a friends device that has already been returned to you and it has been confirmed that you found nothing wrong with it. It was passed to me as I have been using the v3 for a few years without issue.

Re: Ride Not Recorded
I am now thinking that the V5 did calibrate. But does go into a loop.
I checked in the software and could see that the ppV5 was calibrated. I did a very short ride. Wind seems normal and the power values do as well.
Please check this ride file If this is good. I will do a longer ride with the V5 tomorrow. Then I can help my friend set it up on his bike.

Re: Ride Not Recorded
A longer file today. after it tweeted the profile. So I think it is good.
Please check this ride file if it is all OK So the last CalRide was good, but when it finished it did start counting again. I ended the ride with 5 presses on the button. When connecting the PPv5 to Isaac I could see it was calibrated. I think the 2 rides do show this. I now need to repeat this on my friend's bike.
