Hi
Just recieved my powerpod and have a question about the setup
- Charged the battery until the red lamp went out
- woke the garmin GSC-10 sensor
- Sets the powerpod in pairing mode takes just a few seconds for it then a steady green light for maybe 30 sec then it turns steady yellow
- Starts my garmin 510 everything looks likes it normaly does activates power sensor and it finds the powerod
- PP still steady yellow , tries to tap the button to make it start blinking for the calibration to start but nothing happends
- Tried to ride the bike but nothing happend rode for about 15 minutes and the turned home again the garmin never showed any progress from 1-100 as i should
- If I press and hold the button it start to flash green and then goes back to steady yellow after a few seconds.
What am I doing wrong?
/Martin

Hmm...
1) Make sure you are not within 100 feet of any other bikes that have ANT+ sensors
2) Wake up your bike's speed sensor by spinning the crank and wheel
3) Press-hold the PowerPod button for 4 seconds; this will put it into pairing mode. Its light will flash green
4) After successful pairing the PP light will turn solid green. Then, after a bit of time the PP will go out
5) Click the PP button. It should show solid yellow
6) Do not ride your bike, but instead lift the rear wheel so you can spin it.
7) With your bike not moving down the road, spin your rear wheel. You should see speed in your Garmin window. If you don't see bike speed then something is wrong with your GSC-10
8) After a few seconds of spinning your bike wheel, your PowerPod light should start flashing yellow
If you get through step 8) successfully all is well!

Thanks John
I will give it a try this afternoon, have had the PP on charge over night
But if this not work is there a way in the Isac software to do a factory reset of the PP ?

John, I noticed that 5) can be skipped. After successful pairing and spinning the wheel the calibration process starts automatically.

The firmware is 6.10 according to Isac software

Was just out testing it again but still can“t get it to start the calibration
Here is a small and windy youtube video that I made after first riding for about 8-10 minutes without any sucess
https://youtu.be/55CFYFhlDY4
In the video it looks like it changes colour but that must be something with the camera becuse when I looked at it is was steady at yellow.

It's tough to tell what is going on in the video, but it does look like you are following the correct procedure.
1) Please do a Hard Reset, to make sure you PP is correct mode: press-hold the button for about 10 seconds, until the light goes out briefly and then turns back on
2) DO NOT RIDE YOUR BIKE down the road...
3) Wake up your sensors by spinning the wheel
4) Click the PP button. It should show solid yellow
5) Lift the rear wheel so it can spin freely
6) With your bike not moving down the road, spin the rear wheel for about 30 seconds. Two things should happen: 1) you should see bike speed in your Garmin's window. 2) After about 10 seconds, the PP light should flash yellow. Please report what you see.
7) If the PP button flashes yellow, then the PP is in calibration mode and all is well.
8) If the PP light flashes yellow, you have success. Stop spinning the wheel and wait five minutes, so that the PP resets itself. Then do a normal 5 minute ride, down the road.
Please let us know what you find.

Hi John
Found the fault
Did the hardreset and put the bike on a parkingstand and spunn the wheel.. wtf no speed, aha changed the wheel the other day and the spoke magney was missaligned !! moved the magnet about 2mm and then it started to show speed and the calibration process started

rode the bike and it showed the calibration numbers from 1-100w in the window of my garmin !!
Now it works great, will buy the magnetless sensors from garmin to avoid this in the future
Thanks for all the help

Magnetless Garmin sensors for Speed and Cadence work great - I have them on all my (5

) bikes.

Put the speed sensor on your front hub for rock-solid readings.
