Powerpod/Garmin combo mount

HI,

Have a question. Just mounted the Garmin/powerpod out front mount. When the letters on the powerpod is level so is the Garmin. I like tilting the Garmin up a little to make the display easier to read and avoid reflections. Is there any limit on how tilted the powerpod is? I want best accuracy.

Also, any preference for the ideal out-back cal ride? Hilly, no wind, some coast downs? Again my goal is best accuracy.

Thanks,

Morten

Tilt should be less than 20 degrees. I calibrated mine with 11 laps of a closed one mile circuit, with the profile extracted from the ride using "check calibration". This changed the aero and wind scaling considerably, even compared with defaults in Isaac.

Thanks!!

You measure the 20 degrees based on the lettering on the powerpod, right?

Now if only I had a track like you describe ... ;)

Yes, lettering horizontal is the neutral position. Any circuit will do. I used a 9.5 mile TT course to calibrate the TT bike. I raced it this morning with very consistent readings.
