I mounted the Power Pod on the bike. It paired successfully with the cadence/speed sensor. It paired successfully with my Garmin Edge. The Edge reported successful pairing with a power meter. The LED flashed yellow, and the Watts reading shown on the Garmin went from 0 to 100.
Then, after it got to 100...it returned to 0 and started reading up to 100 again. And, the LED on the Power Pod continued to be flashing yellow, it did not change to green.
Over the course of a 2.5 hour ride, this kept happening. So, the calibration went on maybe 20-25 times. After just letting it go several cycles, i tried various presses of the button on the Power Pod. A quick click. A 4-second click. a 10+ second click. But, nothing changed the behavior.
The mount seems very solid, it does not wiggle or move at all. Totally stable. The cables are clear and not blocking the intake.
What do i do now? Somehow it seems stuck in an infinite loop. How do you get it to "start over" and calibrate just one time and then turn Green and report a correct Watts reading instead of 0...100?
New Power Pod seems to be stuck in infinite calibration loop
Re: New Power Pod seems to be stuck in infinite calibration
The problem is that your PowerPod is pointed either too high towards the sky, or too low towards the ground.
The word "PowerPod" should be within +/-20 degrees of level (parallel to the ground beneath it). If it is beyond this limit you will get the problem you report.
Reposition your mount and do another first ride. This should fix the problem.

Re: New Power Pod seems to be stuck in infinite calibration
That did fix the issue and now i am calibrated and going. Thank you!
As a suggestion, I would suggest that you add to your instructions diagram in step 3 "Keep the words 'Power Pod' parallel to the ground within +/- 20 degrees".
The way the diagram is drawn there with the arrows, it made me think it was supposed to be pushed forward and upward, as opposed to parallel to the ground.
Thanks for straightening it out!
