First PP Ride Review

Post by jhmason21 »

Need some help with review of my first two rides.

Few questions about max cadence, wind, and it shows temperature to be in the 40s but it was between 65-70F.

For reference, I am using a handlebar mount and ISC-11 Cateye speed/cadence sensor with Stealth 50 computer.

7 mile ride was just after calibration. The 27 mile ride was after I used Issac to fine tune a bit and selected better accuracy, also believe the PP preformed an eight minute recalibration.

Everything look ok?? Thanks for the help!

Here is this mornings ride. Cadence seems high still and the temp was 56F at the start of the ride and 59F at the end.

Was this a group ride at any point?

No, all a solo ride. On roads traveled by cars, some busy.

Hmm...please post photos of your PowerPod attached to your bike: front and side views.

Wind reading is too low.

See front and side pictures. Is that cable in the way too much?

Looking at it now I might should move it out further.

I decided to move it out further on the handle bar. I try and get a ride in and post the new file.

Thanks!

I'm glad you moved it. The cables may have been inhibiting wind.

Do a new ride and please post the file!

This looks much, much better...

Please do a short out-and-back ride, no drafting, and post it so we can dial in your settings.

If you have the PP in trainer mode it won't collect data normally will it?

Did my out and back ride but failed to take it off of trainer mode...

You can (reasonably well) convert a trainer ride into an outdoor ride, using Isaac command "Tools/Convert to Road Ride"

I would do another ride, this time in outdoor mode. Make sure your wind port isn't being blocked by cables or anything else

This wind looked different than the last ride file I posted. Are both ok?

Rode with someone else, most of the ride was spent side-by-side.

This looks just fine. I can see where you were riding side by side--slight drafting.

Wind speed looks normal!
