Ciao John,
I have two bikes, a road-bike and a mountain-bike, I paired the PP with both and everything works very well.
In March, I will make a brevet 200km long, the first part, of 100km, is off-road and I will use the MTB, others 100km are on asphalt and I will use the road-bike.
This is the scenario: I start and I ride the first half, 100km off-road with MTB.
When I get to change bike I have just the time to move the PP from the MTB to the road-bike. So I ride for the 100km, on asphalt, with the road-bike.
How do I change the profile of the bike on the PP? Do I have to wait about 20 minutes that the PP turn off and then turn on it again?
Thanks
How to change bike and start ride immediately?

Any suggestions?

Re: How to change bike and start ride immediately?
You have four options:
1) Move the speed and cadence sensors from your MTB to your road bike. Your PP will continue to operate on the same ride file, with your MTB profile. It will take 8 minutes for PP to adjust to your road bike angle.
2) Bring a laptop with you. At the end of your MTB portion use Isaac to switch manually to your Road bike profile, using the command "Device/Setup/Set Active Profile in Newton"
3) Attach your PP to your road bike, move your bike 100 feet away from any near bike, then do a scan. This will install your road bike speed/cadence sensor IDs on your MTB bike profile.
4) Attach your PP to your road bike, move your bike 100 feet away from your MTB bike, then do a hard reset. The hard reset will terminate your ride file and will force a new scan. If you're far enough away from your MTB bike, PP will pick up your road bike sensors and will switch profiles. This procedure will reset the date and time of your PP, so if you're downloading your ride file to Isaac, you'll need to reset the date/time of your ride (easy to do with the "Tools/Repair/Fix Date and Time" command. The "risk" of this alternative is that you MIGHT lose the PP ride file data from the MTB portion of your ride (but note your power data will be correctly stored in your bike computer).
