Road bike with TT bars
Good day,
I'll do a half Ironman next April 1st, I've decided to adapt my road bike to TT position with TT bars ... But I have some questions:
1. I have to set up newton PP with TT profile and calibrate. Is cda the same for a road bike with aero bars, than a TT specific bike? How many affect the position to cda? Probably I can not get the same position in a road bike with aero bars than a TT bike.
2. What PP mount do you recommend me? I have seen Garmin/gopro mount in front of the stem (attach photo) Is this mount suitable?

Re: Road bike with TT bars
If this mount is very stiff (machined aluminum or VERY STRONG) plastic, it will be OK. Or, you can use our TT mount, which attaches to the aero bars.
You can use Isaac to set a profile for your TT bike.

Finally, I have adapt my bike to TT position and I've set up my PP as TT profile. But cda is 0,35. is it normal? I choose profile #1, because I have my road bike profile in the #3 profile.
I've decided to mount PP as you can see in the pic, with a solid carbon fiber bar between aero bars and properly fixed to them without obstacles in front of. Please, confirm me that it's correct. When the set up PP process ask me about mount of PP, What have I choose? Handlebar or front mount??
Also, I have pics of my position in the bike to check, I would like to know if it's a solid TT position to set up PP like this.
Thanks ind advance

Please, help me

Re: Road bike with TT bars
Your CdA should be around 0.25 for a TT bike. I don't understand why yours is so high.
In Device/Setup Newton..., choose the Time Trial position
I am really worried about your mount. It looks like it is a sawed-off piece of carbon fiber, stuffed between your aero bars.
If you can wiggle your PP at all with this mount, then you won't get good results at higher speeds.

I have chosen Time Trial Option, I don't know why this cda value. I've made again, and The profile is similar to the previous one with the same cda (0,350). File .ibp is attached, and .ibp file fixed with 0,25 cda.
In other hand, Yes. It's a homemade carbon fiber bar, with the exactly size to fit the bars and properly fastened. In the pic it's only put without fixing. I've been testing it and it's really strong. Being held tightly between both bars makes the whole even stronger. Tomorrow I'll make the calibration ride and post the file to check

Regards, and thanks in advance

Good day !!
Here you are Cal ride file, and post calibration ride in 2 parts.
Please, let me know if It's ok. I have extracted both profile of each file and have differents areo value and wind scaling. Cda is 0,25 because I edited it, It kept in 0,35 like yesterday although I chose TT position.
Thanks in advance, and regards!

Your profile is close, but I tweaked it a little bit.
Load this into your Device and your TT CdA will be stored.
