Hello!
Last day, i powered up my PowerPod and for my surprise it started to do a new O&B calibration, flashing green and red, and showing 0 in Garmin. I think (promise) that I did nothing to make this again in Isaac, because my actual cal values are very accurate and consistent.
Why did the PowerPod asked me to calibrate again?
Thanks!
My PP asked me for a new cal ride?
Re: My PP asked me for a new cal ride?
This are the new files. I guess are three because i pressed the button during 4 seconds trying to stop the cal ride, and trying to recover the watts on my screen. Is for this reason? I wish i could reach the 2000w as measured
Can I reset the last profile without doing a cal ride?
Thanks!

Please describe exactly what happened, and when you pushed buttons.

Re: My PP asked me for a new cal ride?
Step by step:
* Got my bike and started to ride.
* Switched on Garmin (riding).
* Switched on PowerPod (riding).
(nothing different from any other day)
* Noticed that Garmin was showing 0 watts, but cadence.
* Stopped and move the magnet closer to the sensor (i supposed that 0 watts was a problem of the magnet)
* The same: cadence but 0 watts.
* Noticed that the PowerPod was flashing green and red.
* Pressed the PowerPod button 4 seconds in order to pair again, and trying to stop the calibration. Flashing green and red again.
(more or less, 5-6 minutes)
I switched the Garmin to my Rotor Power DFPM, started to record the activity, and i did the ride normally, waiting for the PowerPod to change, but nothing different happened (it flashed green and red during the whole ride).
During the ride (probably at km 61, or 23, can't remember exactly), I pressed the PowerPod 4 seconds again (that stupid human thinking that expects a machine to do a different thing with the same input).
Thanks!

Re: My PP asked me for a new cal ride?
Here is what I think happened.
1) At some point recently you paired your PowerPod to a DFPM (you have DFPM data in your ride file)
2) Whenever PP is paired to a new DFPM, PP is AUTOMATICALLY placed into O&B calibration mode. Why? Cyclists who ride with multiple power meters almost always want to compare their values. After the O&B ride, you can use Isaac "Check Calibration" two line-up the two PMs most accurately.
3) Press-hold for 4 seconds puts PP into pairing mode. It won't "stop" O&B
4) Press hold for about 10 seconds will hard-reset the PP. That, too, won't stop O&B
5) So, it's best just to do the O&B ride if you see flashing red/green
As long as you use the same DFPM, the forced O&B ride will happen only once.

Re: My PP asked me for a new cal ride?
Hello!
The thing is that I already had the DFPM paired and fully functional in PowerPod. It is what I use to, as you say, compare and enrich my analysis in Isaac / GoldenCheetah, etc.
Anyway, i'll do a O&B cal again. If it ask me again I will notice you.
Thanks for your support!

Re: My PP asked me for a new cal ride?
Update:
Yesterday i went out for a ride... and PowerPod didn't asked me for a new calibration
. When it switched off the day before was lighting red and green. So I guess that something was wrong... can't understand.

Re: My PP asked me for a new cal ride?
Since it happened, i noticed that the PP overreads a little comparing to Rotor. Here is my last ride, 10 watts average more than DFPM. Is there any way to fine tuning ?
Thanks!
Thanks!
