Heart fail on Gen 3

Post by philatlondon »

I forgot to put my HR strap on today and got the expected Heart Fail message. However, is there some way of getting rid of the message and just seeing the power data? On my Gen2 model I recall that I could just get past the error message by pressing the centre once it had tried and failed to pick up a HR. The Gen 3 just keeps continually trying to find the HR output and not displaying the ride data. This is very annoying, as I often don't bother putting the HR strap on. Any suggestions?

Scroll to the WLS CFG screen in the settings. Click the center button until you get to Hrt. Click the down arrow until you get to none. That will stop the iBike from looking for heart rate

Firmware 400 will automatically stop this annoying problem from happening.

That's a neat new feature. Will it try a certain amount of times and then give up?
