Downloading iBike data directly into WKO

Post by noel »

Is there a way to download from the iBike the ride data from WKO. There is an option in WKO for Velocomp iBike pro and I can see the com port via USB. However when I start downloading from WKO, it sits there and says polling the device. I have an iAero though so maybe that is the reason. I noticed that the usual route is to iBike software then save open it in WKO. I was hoping to save some steps.

Thanks

With the new Gen 3 the file format changed a bit, and overall it's better for everybody to download into the iBike software.
If you want, and easy step is just to drag the file from your iBike rides folder into the WKO calendar and it will automatically add it and then you can save it. It's a pretty easy step that only adds a few seconds versus direct downloading.

I was wishing for something similar in SportTracks (direct download). After doing a little thinking on it though, I decided that the iBike does some valuable post-processing of the data, tilt correction for instance (Note that I'm using a Gen II iPro). If I were to directly download my data into WKO (or other such as SportTracks, which direct download isn't possible at the moment) then any post processing would be skipped. I don't know about the Gen III's, but this post-processing is still necessary with my Gen II as it adjusts or 'corrects' the data from what was originally recorded.

Thanks,

Looks like there is an analyze post processing that you hvae to do after most rides, so makes sense specially if you do have a DFPM
