Good morning,
I recently broke my arm, so now the extent of my riding is on the trainer, with aero bars to support my cast. Yesterday, I was in a good tempo ride, and sweating at a good clip. As the sweat would land on the iBike, I would wipe it off with a towel. Still, I could see the meniscus of accumulated fluid inside the face of the unit. I removed the battery cover and battery, turned the unit on its face (some fluid gathered at the clear plastic interface, which I could dab off). When I put in the battery, I get a flash of numbers for set up, which then fade away. There is still a very minor amount of fluid in the face of the unit.
Is this recoverable?
Many thanks!
Bill

Should be recoverable -
Remove the battery - put the unit into a plastic bag that has another bag of rice in it (uncooked!) - leave it there for a day or two - it will dry out. Then do a hard reset on the unit - put the battery in flipped polarity for a few seconds and then flip the battery to the correct polarity and then the cover. You will have to update the date and time.
To keep this from happening again, you can also cover the face plate with a strip of clear packing tape over the gap of the window.

Hi,
I had a similar problem. Once I covered the screen (and red button) with tape the unit has worked ok since (ca 3 weeks now).
Cheers, Chris
