can anyone help?
It seems that almost every time i start a ride, the first 8 mins are reading high, not massively, but about 250-350 when i know it should be more around 150 (often leaving work is when i notice it most 300 watts on a flat road and almost guaranteed good tailwind). not really a problem most of the time but i bought this with time trialling in mind which would render it useless if i couldn't trust the first 8 mins of data.i i cant trust it, i cant use it.
the 55mile file also has this problem, i was getting large power numbers going down a steep hill.......
thanks

Re: first 8 mins problem
During the first 8 minutes of riding PP will recalibrate itself. This is automatic and necessary.
There are three different ways to deal with this:
1) warm up for 8 minutes, prior to starting your "real" ride. You can edit out the first 8 minutes with Isaac "Edit/Split File at Cursor" command
2) Leave your PP attached to your bike between rides, being careful to not spin the speed sensor wheel when you're not riding
3) If you do remove your PP, make sure, when you reattach it, that you gently push down on the PP button, rotating the PP until it hits the stop in the mount, and THEN tighten the screw. This does a pretty good job of positioning the PP in exactly the same angular position from ride to ride, which will minimize the 8 minute problem
