Slope %
After always showing slope numbers which made sense for where I ride -- average of 0-2% -- for my last 2 rides the slope % has suddenly shown an average of over 20%. The high slope number is of course throwing out the power numbers etc. I always make sure that the PowerPod is fully rotated forward until is rests against the stops so I don't believe the readings have anything to do with a change in the PowerPod position on the bike. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thx for the quick response, John. The file attached. Please note that since the data are so far off I haven't bothered to make any adjustments e.g. wind. Let me how I can sort this out. DK.

Sorry to say, something is not right and I don't see a way to fix this file.
Please do the following:
1) Post side, front, top images of your PP attached to your bike. The word "PowerPod" should be approximately level to the ground beneath it. If it is sufficiently angled, this could be the cause of your problem.
2) Use the Isaac command Device/Setup/Reset Profile/Profile 1. This will reset your suspicious profile
3) Do a new out and back calibration
4) Please post the ride that happens AFTER you do your out-and-back
If these steps don't fix the problem, then we will need to replace your unit

Thx for the quick response, John. In response to your suggestions:
1. Side and front photos are attached. From the top you can see nothing since the PP is below the aero bars. It appears to me to be level with the ground.
2. I did the reset
3. I did the out and back calibration. The PP light behaved as it should through the pairing process (ie solid green) but then during the calibration ride my Garmin 520 showed zero power (it flickered briefly at 1 then went back to zero) and the light flashed red and yellow. I stopped and turned around just after 5 minutes and headed back to the starting point. The light continued to flash red and yellow. The slope was 20%=. I then did a second calibration ride (since I didn't know if the first one had worked). I adjusted the power setting to instantaneous (vs 3 second average) but got pretty much the same thing -- no power reading and a flashing red/yellow light. This time though the slope looked somewhat reasonable though the out and back were a little more different than I'd expected.
4. Finally I did a short ride and as you'll see the slope went back to 20%+
