Hi everyone,
for the past few weeks my Powerpod has been giving significantly lower wattage readings on inclines. Recalibrating and switching to a different profile haven't fixed it.
It's as if the incline sensors aren't registering that I'm going uphill. What can I do?
Incorrect wattage readings during climbs
Re: Incorrect wattage readings during climbs
Please post a .ibr ride file and we will take a look. Check to make sure your unit is not set to indoor trainer mode...Cooper wrote: ↑Tue Apr 14, 2026 10:45 am Hi everyone,

Thanks for the quick reply and help.
I hope you can find something. I'm currently having the same problem; I can't download the latest tour data. It says there isn't any available, even though I did two rides today. I'm really at a loss.

Re: Incorrect wattage readings during climbs
Sorry for the delay in responding; I was traveling.
The ride file you posted looks completely normal to me; your unit is properly calibrated and watts are correct.
Please do the following:
1) Connect your unit to Isaac or Velocomp Aero (I'm not sure which software you are using, but Velocomp Aero is our current software)
2) Go to Edit/Edit Profiles
3) Click on "Extract from Device". Your current profile will be transferred to your software and will be highlighted.
4) Click on "Export...". Export the .ibp file to your desktop.
5) Post the .ibp file in this thread.
6) Next, if using Isaac select "Device/Erase all Ride files" to erase the ride files in your unit. If using Velocomp Aero, select "Download", then "Erase All Ride Files"
7) Finally, press-hold the button for about 12 seconds to do a hard reset. The light will flash green, then go out briefly, then start flashing again. Release the button
These steps should restore your unit to full operation.

Re: Incorrect wattage readings during climbs
Are you able to download rides now? If so please post your latest .ibr ride file

Re: Incorrect wattage readings during climbs
Unfortunately not at the moment—it’s raining constantly.
As soon as I’m back on the bike, the data will follow.

Re: Incorrect wattage readings during climbs
Hello,
during my session today, the pod was connected correctly. For the first few meters, the display seemed to be working, but then it got stuck constantly at 50 watts. The pod was flashing red and green. Later, I installed the Velocomp software on my computer (I had Isaac installed previously). Unfortunately, I couldn't find any error message corresponding to the red/green flashing. I have now completely reset the pod and will test it again over the next few days. Sorry for taking up your time and effort.
Regards,
Cooper

Re: Incorrect wattage readings during climbs
Your device was in calibration mode (flashing red/green). You will need to complete a cal ride. See the attachment for details:Cooper wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2026 8:59 am Hello,
