Power reading on-bike differs from iBike3 software

Post by aytchkay »

I recently upgraded to Gen3. I've done the coast-downs and 4-mile calib ride. Now while riding, my power readings have been around 200 watts during moderate efforts - normal riding. When I analyze the ride on iBike3, my average is around 160W - which is what I expected it to be. Why don't I see this lower, more accurate reading while I'm riding? This was the main problem I was having with my Gen 1.

You should see essentially the same numbers on the bike as in the software.

In the Preferences menu of iB3, uncheck the "Fine Tune Tilt" button and download the ride again. You should see numbers essentially identical to what you saw on your Gen III. Then, please send your ride file to jhamann@velocomp.com for analysis.

John,
Do I send you the file in the form "xx.csv" ?

Thanks for your attention...
