Custom profile

Post by bjrmd »

Hi
Is there any way to make a more custom profile based on an old one. I have a powertap and by trial and error have found a good wind offset, cda, crr-friction to use. I can adjust the friction which then changes the crr--that seems ok. But if I adjust the cda, the wind offset changes--any way around this. And yes--I have done many calibrations--no single one gets it just right.

Aero, CdA and Wind Scaling all play together. You can change CdA, then adjust Aero to get back the wind scaling or a combination of the three. Fric, Crr and Tilt have the same game plan. You just fiddle to what you want.

Rather than adjust the CdA, adjust the aero number to give you the CdA you want. That way the wind scaling isn't affected.

I never paid enough attention to how the three were tied together in the software, just toggled each until I go what I was looking for. Thanks Fernando.

CdA times Wind = Aero

Enter your wind
multiply CdA time wind
Enter the answer into Aero
your CdA should then appear
